Bruno’s last game! Six of us joined by three of them.
I’ve been a bit chocka so am writing this long after the game and so can’t recall much. I also had the most stinking of hangovers which lasted two days which also makes much of what happened a blur. I do remember Chris tempting the keeper out of position and gently crossing for David to poke wide of the empty goal from five metres out. In response soon after Bruno (who’d hurt his knee right at the beginning of the second half and so donned goalkeeping gloves for the half) hobbled forward in an attack. His pass was intercepted and the ball fell for Oz who fired at the empty goal from about half way. He also missed. Daniel got a nice header. And after Oz handballed in the area, Daniel was also nearest the spot and took and scored his first ever official penalty – huzzah! Bruno counted down the minutes as he tried to inspire the Red comeback. It didn’t work.
Final score: Red 8 – 10 Yellow
