Estate Agents vs Hairdressers. Yeah, we gave that other lot a game and someone informed them of the name we’ve given then, so it’s out. Teams were uneven, we had 5 while they had 6. We had a ringer join us about 30ish minutes into the 1st half. We were Ahmet, Jeremy, John, Oz and Richard.

1st half: Despite being a man down we had quite a few chances to score. However they scored first. We equalised towards the end of the 1st half from a goal by Ahmet.

2nd half: Looked like it might of been tough judging by the first few minutes of play, but we went ahead thanks to a goal from our ringer. The order of the rest of our goals gets a bit fuzzy, but I remember Richard scoring with a low hard shot, Ahmet with a header from a corner and John with a fizzer into the roof of the net accompanied by Richard’s big raspingĀ roar of “YEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!”

Overal we defended superbly, Ahmet and Jeremy make an awesome defensive combo. Richard’s high work rate and tenacity helping defend, mop up loose balls and aiding attack was invaluable. John was as reliable as ever, not making mistakes and scoring a corker. Both Jeremy and I fluffed some sitters, I hit the post twice. Desite a much larger pitch to what we’re used to, we made much better use of the ball and never really struggled. Although the other lot will sooth their egos by saying the ringer made a big difference, I personally don’t thinkĀ he did. Just having even numbered teams would have still meant we would have won. We may have still won with one man short.

A very solid team performance and well deserved 5-1 win.

Cheers.
Oz
